Happening
The Happening experience is like no other. It is a weekend for teens in the 10th-12th grade, put on for teens by teens. Small groups, talks, games, music, food, and worship encourage a stronger and personal relationship with Christ. It is an instrument of renewal and further spiritual development for youth. The experience continues in Reunion weekends. Teens are strongly encouraged to attend this very special weeekend! See Dan Garrison for an application.
New Beginnings
This special weekend is for teens in grades 7th-9th. The experiece concentrates on their relationships with their families, friends, and especially their relationship with God and Christ. It is the first of the weekend experiences available to teens and adults in our Diocese and the National Church. Small group discussions, games, and music make this a fun weekend, all wrapped up with a closing Celebration of the Holy Eucharist. This weekend, like Happening, is staffed by teens, with a few adults for support. New Beginnings is held twice a year at Camp Bratton-Green. Teens are strongly encouraged to attend! See Dan Garrison for an application.
Vocare
The word means "to Call'. The weekend is for young adults ages 19-29. The aim is to explore the person and the teachings of Christ. The experience includes talks, fun, relaxed activites, singing and games, and ends with a Celebration of the Holy Eucharist. All of these things are geared to help the participants hear and answer God's call in their own lives. If interested, contact the church office for an application or contact Chuck Culpepper at the Diocesean office.
